Spain and Germany settle for a thrilling 1-1 draw in a heated second Word Cup group game, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half began with Spain dominating the game and looking to take an early lead.

Germany also gave a good account of themselves, as they stopped the Spanish side and equally threatened up front.

Both sides made just one attempt at goal, with Spain having four shots while Germany had three shots.

It was still a cagey affair as both sides could not find the back of the net despite coming across a series of chances.

The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Second Half Report.

Nothing really happened as the second half began, but Germany needed to get something out of the game after a shock defeat to Australia.

It was still goalless until the 62nd minute when Morata struck to tie Spain the lead.

Germany immediately ramped up their attempts on goal as try searched for an equaliser facing threats of elimination from the tournament.

It was late in the 83rd minute when Germany finally got an equaliser with Fullkrug on the score sheet for the 2014 champions.

Now on a 1-1 draw, both sides increased the attacking momentum with dangerous counters to break the tie, all to no avail.

The game finally ended on a 1-1 draw as Germany kept its round of 16 hopes alive, while Spain closed in on qualification.
