David de Gea has now a decision on his Manchester United future, MySportDab reports.

The Spaniard is ready to commit his future to Manchester United and wants a new contract at the club.

De Gea will play in his 500th match for United against Newcastle on Sunday, and he’s only the 11th player in United’s history to do such.

He has started every match in the Premier League and Europa League this season.

Despite his mistakes in the 4-0 defeat by Brentford in August, he has returned back in good form.

However, the 31-year-old runs out of contract at the end of this season, but United can still extend it by a further year.

De Gea’s current contract made him the best-paid goalkeeper in the world earning £375,000-a-week.

Now, he is happy to stay at United and believes he has a lot to offer the club.

“This is my club and I feel good here. I’m playing very well. I still have many more years to play. I’m very confident,” De Gea said.

“Yes, I would like to stay for more years and play more games and set records of everything. To also help the young people here with my experience and win trophies.”

De Gea suffered a sticky time after signing his last contract and in the 2020/21 season.

But Henderson contracted Covid-19 in 2021, and missed out on his opportunity to completely replace De Gea for good last season.

“I feel very good in games and training. Of course, the more experience you have the better. So, yes, I think I’m in my peak years,” he added.

“I feel good and most importantly to win trophies and help the team every day.”
