Liverpool cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ajax in the Netherlands, but star striker Darwin Nunez made headlines after he missed an open net, MySportDab reports.
The Reds would have increased the score margin to 4-0 if Nunez did not miss an early golden chance in the game.
Despite missing the goal, Darwin Nunez again proved he is one of the most complex players in football, as he scored for Liverpool after the miss.

After Liverpool’s defeat to Nottingham Forest with a knock, Darwin was played by Klopp in the crucial tie at Amsterdam.
Liverpool needed to avoid defeat to avoid undesirable consequences with only a game remaining.
Ajax had a firm grasp of proceedings going in the opening minutes, but Salah was quick enough to put the Reds ahead despite playing second fiddle to the Dutch champions.

Liverpool would have gone two goals up before the first-half break after Darwin Nunez was presented with a great chance to double the lead.
It was Firmino squared the ball to the former Benfica forward, who was clearly facing an open net with the goalkeeper at a loss with Liverpool’s tactical play.
Darwin fired at the goal, but his shot crashed on the post instead of rolling into the net.
However, Darwin Nunez emerged stronger in the second half of the game, as he later scored with a thumping header to contribute to the Reds’ 3-0 win.
The win helps Liverpool secure a place in the knockout round, joining Napoli, who are Group leaders.
