Jones, 30, has made 229 appearances for Manchester United since joining the club in 2012.
Jones has not started a match for Manchester United and has fallen down the pecking order since the former Ajax manager took over.
Erik Ten Hag has acquired two defenders -Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.
Jones and four other players have to be kicked out of Mam United’s dressing room because the club can only accommodate 24 players.
They have now been compelled to be training with the U-23 team.
The four other players booted out of the Man United squad are Brandon Williams and Alex Tuanzebe.
The decision ot leave out Jones and others from the Man United squad is to make room for new signings.
Man United have signed the likes of Casemiro, Martinez, Varane, Christian Eriksen, Antony and Martin Dubravka.
Jones has a year left in his current Manchester United contract, having signed a four-year extension.
He has won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League, but his fortune has dwindled since Ten Hag assumed the reins at Old Trafford.
The former Ajax manager has brought some changes into the squad after making six new signings to the team.
