Manchester United Coach Erik Ten Hag has now praised Antony after scoring a goal on his Premier league debut, MySportDab reports.

Erik ten Hag has described Antony as the ‘missing link’ in the Red Devils attack today.

The £85.5million man scored a debut goal and ended Arsenal’s 100% start to the new Premier League season.

The 22-year-old Brazilian’s goal and a double from Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United finished the match with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Now, Ten Hag has urged his players to keep this momentum for every match.

Speaking about Antony, Ten Hag said: ‘You can see his potential.

‘He’s a real threat for defenders in the Premier League. We were missing a right winger. Jadon Sancho and Marcus prefer to play on the left.

‘Now, we have the missing link in attack to play well on the right.

‘We needed his pace, dribbles and expression on the right wing. The Premier League is a big challenge but we can see his potential. We must keep on pushing. I set even higher standards every day.’

After the Brentford 4-0 loss, Ten Hag cancelled United’s team day off and made the players run 8.5 miles.

He took part in the run and revealed now that United’s new form is obviously down to discipline.

‘It’s a part of the new spirit.

‘From day one, we always have high standards. When you are disciplined, you have a winning strategy.’
