Slaven Bilic has been appointed as Watford new manager following the sacking of Rob Edwards, MySportDab reports.

Slaven Bilic takes over as Watford new boss on a short term basis which is expected to run until end of the season.

The new boss will be taking over once his work permit is confirmed and completed with the necessary documents being signed.

Watford decided on changing their managers following their poor run of form which see them sitting at the 10th position in the Championship.

The club are working towards achieving their goal of gaining back promotion to the Premier League which hasn’t seem to be working out for them.

Rob Edwards was only in charge for 10 games and lost a couple of games which the fans were said to have turn against the team due to their performance.

Slaven Bilic has been appointed the new boss who will take over after signing an 18-months contract.

Here Is What Was Said Via Watford Website:

“As with all decisions taken by the Board, I believe this change to be in the best interests of the club,” says Hornets’ owner Gino Pozzo of the move.

“We felt Rob had enough time to show us the identity of his team, however performances haven’t reflected our hopes and ambitions.

“Now we must move forward, and, in Slaven Bilić, we have secured the services of an experienced coach who has recent experience of promotion to the Premier League.”

Watford will be resuming their quest to gain Premier League promotion with the League set to resume during the week.
