FT: Napoli 4-1 Liverpool, Reds Suffer Heavy UCL Defeat (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Liverpool were stunned by Napoli who thrashed them 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League opening game, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half was a total nightmare for the Premier League side who couldn’t make anything happen for themselves going forward.

Napoli were in control of things moving on as they move on with Piotr Zielinski making it 1-0 from the penalty spot in the 5th minutes of the encounter.

It continued with Liverpool fighting so much to get something of their own which didn’t happen but Alisson Becker saved a penalty from Victor Osimhen in the 18th minute.

The away side were not good enough to atop Zambo Anguissa from making the scoreline 2-0 in the 31st minutes of the match which saw things increasing as they continued.

Alot of opportunities was seen but none could be utilized by the away side as another goal was conceived again and this time it was Simeone making it 3-0 in the 44th minute.

The first half came to an end with Napoli taking a comfortable 3-0 victory into the break against Liverpool who were very poor in all their dealings going forward.

Second Half Report

The second half was good coming from both teams who gave a good account of themselves as things looked evenly balanced.

Napoli continued with their dominance in the match as things continued to look good for them as they once again made it count in the 47th minute through Piotr Zielinski who made it his brace and 4-0.

Luis Diaz pulled one goal back for the Reds in the 49th minute of the game making it 4-1 and giving the fans something to celebrate.

Liverpool were far gone in the game as they was no way to come back from such a huge margin which saw them looking very lost.

The match ended in a defeat for Liverpool who were humbled 4-1 away from home by Napoli who thrashed them in a game which the Premier League side were wasteful.
