Travel started his football career at English club Blackpool in 1989 and remained there until 1993.

On August 19, 1989, at the age of 16 years and five months, he made his professional debut with Blackpool, breaking Colin Greenall’s record established nine years earlier.

In November of 2005, Matty Kay surpassed Sinclair’s record.

Sinclair was a charter member of the Bloomfield Road Hall of Fame, unveiled in April 2006 by Jimmy Armfield, a former player for Blackpool.

Blackpool supporters worldwide voted for their favorite players in a poll organized by the Blackpool Supporters Association.

There are only five players inducted per decade. Therefore, Sinclair is part of the 1990s group.

He scored 15 goals in 112 league games for the Seasiders.

Blackpool’s record transfer fee got smashed when Scott Sinclair was sold to Queens Park Rangers for £600,000 in 1993.

Despite being unable to save QPR from relegation in 1995, he was named Premier League Player of the Month.

For much of the 1995–96 season, Sinclair got linked with a £6 million to Manchester United.

He spent five years for QPR and scored 16 goals in 168 league games.

Sinclair moved to West Ham United in January 1998.  He scored seven goals for West Ham United in the remaining 14 games of the Premier League season, contributing to the club finishing in eighth place.

In the following two seasons, he was a consistent player, but in the 2000–2001 season, he missed the last four months due to a major knee injury.

The team’s decline in performance during his absence coincided with Harry Redknapp’s dismissal as manager at the end of the season.

As a result, the team struggled to meet expectations.

Sinclair made a full recovery in time for the 2001–02 season, during which he played 34 times, most frequently on the left wing, and ultimately succeeded in his desire to represent England in the World Cup in that position.

Sinclair played for West Ham for the last time in the 2002–2003 season.

After the season, they were demoted to a lower division.

As a result of the need to reduce expenses, West Ham agreed to accept Manchester City’s offer of £3.3 million for the player.

Sinclair was a member of the Upton Park squad for five years, during which time he rotated between wingback, left and right-wing, and striker positions when the situation demanded it.

He scored 37 goals in 177 league matches, including a West Ham debut brace.

Sinclair moved to Manchester City in 2003 for a transfer fee of £3.3 million after West Ham was demoted from the Premier League.

He scored the club’s first goal in a competitive match at the new City of Manchester Stadium, a UEFA Cup match against a Welsh team called Total Network Solutions.

When he first arrived at Manchester City, he played on the left.

However, since Shaun Wright-Phillips was no longer on the team, Sinclair could play in the right-wing position, where he is most comfortable.

After the 2006–2007 campaign, Manchester City decided to part ways with Sinclair.

On July 10, 2007, he signed with Cardiff City, a club in the Championship.

He started the season as a member of Cardiff’s first team and scored his first goal for the club on September 24 against West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup.

The match ended in a 4–2 victory for Cardiff. Since the beginning of the season, he has been sidelined due to an accumulation of fluid in his knee, which required two surgeries to treat.

He was unable to return to action until the middle of February. On February 16, 2008, he came back against Wolverhampton Wanderers, entering the game as a late substitution in the FA Cup match and helping the team win 2-0.

Sinclair played against his former team, Blackpool, on April 12, 2008, for the first time since he had quit playing for them fifteen years previously.

Although he scored the second goal in Cardiff’s 3–1 victory, he chose not to celebrate his goal after the game.

At Wembley Stadium on May 17, he entered the 2008 FA Cup Final as a substitute for Cardiff in the 86th minute.

Unfortunately, Cardiff was defeated by Portsmouth 1-0 in the match.

On the other hand, it was confirmed just four days later that his contract would not be renewed for the upcoming season, and he was subsequently let go from the team.

After spending the 2014–15 season with Lancaster City, he moved to Squires Gate, a team that plays in the North West Counties Football Premier League, on February 21, 2018, at the age of 44.
