Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammates arrived for training today at the Carrington base, MySportDab reports.

The new Premier League season starts on Friday and there is so much work to be done.

However, Ronaldo still wants to leave Old Trafford to play in the Champions League next season.

Despite no offers for him, the Portuguese has returned to prepare with United for next season.

He arrived today for training driving in his Rolls Royce as he went through the Carrington gates.

Ronaldo made his return for Manchester United in the match against Spanish outfit Rayo Vallecano, and played only 45 minutes.

But, he left the stadium even before the end of the 90 minutes as United won 1-0.

Him playing in Sunday’s pre-season friendly has made many fans believe that Ronaldo could play in the Premier League match against Brighton.

He did not travel on the club’s Pre-season tour and has not yet worked well under Ten Hag’s new style of play.

Since it first emerged that he Ronaldo wanted to leave, various clubs have refused to sign him.

Atletico Madrid have also rejected the opportunity to sign the player despite talks with his agent Jorge Mendes.

United initially refused to comment on the transfer issue but have now made it clear they want him to stay.

Ronaldo wishes to remain at the top of the game and play in Europe’s best competition despite lucrative contract offers from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag is now worried about the fitness of Anthony Martial with just five days left until the new Premier League season starts.

The Frenchman got injured in United’s 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in pre-season, and was seen holding his hamstring.

Having failed to impress last season, Martial was expected to leave club this summer but he played a fantastic role and score many goals in pre-season.

Now, he’s a key player in Ten Hag’s plans moving forward.
