Man United has canceled a prematch meeting as the #GlazersOutNow protests gathers momentum, MySportDab reports.

At short notice, the meeting which was to take place at Lowry Hotel in Salford had to be canceled over fears of insecurity due to the protests

Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United players were expected to meet at the Lowry Hotel for the prematch but has to cancel the plan over fears of insecurity.

A few crops of fans were already seen around the premises to kick start the protest. It is still unclear how the protest will affect the match.

Last year, the Manchester United match was forced to be called off after angry Man United fans broke into the stadium protesting.

A similar event may likely occur as Man United prepare to trade tackles with Liverpool in their Matchday 3 fixture.

The Red Devils are yet to win a game since the start of the 2021-2022 Premier League season.

They have suffered back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Brentford and will be looking for a first win against Liverpool.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is yet to win a game after drawing their opening two matches against Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has asked for all three points to be awarded to Liverpool if the match does not hold due to the planned protest.

Manchester United fans are protesting against the Glazers, asking them to hand off the club and end their 15 years reign due to the deepening crisis in the team.

The Glazers took control of Manchester United in 2005. The fortunes of the club have been overturned since the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson.
