Chelsea are set to hijack Marc Cucurella deal from Manchester City as talks are currently going on, MySportDab reports.

London club Chelsea is currently in negotiations to complete a move for Brighton And Hove Albion player Marc Cucurella this summer window.

Manchester City already had an agreement with the player on personal terms a long time ago but faced issues concerning a transfer fee for the wing-back.

Chelsea is now looking into hijacking the move as they believe they can secure a move before the summer window ends, knowing they have a lot of space to fill up.

Brighton and Hove Albion are said to value Marc Cucurella for €50 million, and they won’t be listening to anything less before allowing the player to leave this summer.

The defender is also open to moving to a bigger team as he doesn’t look like he will be staying much longer with Brighton, who is holding back so much for a better fee.

Reports reaching us from Fabrizio Romano confirmed Chelsea are holding talks to make sure they complete a move for the defender this summer window.

“Chelsea are trying to hijack Marc Cucurella deal, negotiations ongoing for Spanish left back.

“Direct talks will take place today between Chelsea and Brighton to discuss fee and potential players to be included in the deal.

“Brighton always asked for £50m fee and Levi Colwill could be part of the negotiations between the two clubs.

“Personal terms will be discussed between the agents of Cucurella and Chelsea in the next hours.

The Blues are hopeful to reach an agreement which will see them announce their third signing after going through a lot of frustration in the market.

Marc Cucurella could be Chelsea next signing if everything goes as planned between them and Brighton and Hove Albion in negotiations.
