Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to accept a 30% paycut to join his chosen club Atletico Madrid, MySportDab reports.
Ronaldo has been in the news after making his desire to leave Old Trafford known.
Ronaldo opted to leave the Red Devils after they finished 6th on the log with no Champions League football next season.
The Portugal international reportedly made it clear to the Man United management that he wants to leave.
He implored the club to let him leave when there is a good offer for him from any club.
Ronaldo ha been linked to a number of clubs since he announced his intended departure from Man United.
MySportDab understands that Ronaldo is pushing for a move to Atletico Madrid to be able to play Champions League football.
Another twist to the Ronaldo Atletico Madrid push is that he wants to play in a club that the striking burden will not be left on him alone.
His agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly stated that Ronaldo is ready to take a paycut of 30% to join the Spanish giants.
Recall that Atletico Madrid would love to sign the player as he has always been Diego Simeone’s favourite player.
However, it was apparent that Atletico Madrid may ot likely afford Ronaldo wage bills which is far beyond them.
This may be the reason the Portugal international is ready to accept a paycut to join Atletico Madrid.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions for Manchester United but that was not enough to push the Red Devils to a Champions League.
