Manchester United announced their first signing this summer Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, MySportDab reports.

Tyrell Malacia is Manchester United’s first signing for Erik Ten Hag, who takes over as new manager following Ralf Rangnick’s short-term contract last season.

The contract signed by the Netherlands International will keep him at Old Trafford until 2026.

It is a four-year deal tying him to the Premier League team with the option for another year.

Manchester United came through with a deal very late after Feyenoord reach an agreement with Marseille verbally, who offered to pay €15 million for the player.

The Premier League side made a better offer which saw them hijack the deal, and now has completed a move that gives them their first summer signing ahead of the new season.

Tyrell Malacia did the first part of the medical on Sunday after the paperwork was signed by both teams leaving the other part of the medical to happen today, Monday.

Manchester United paid €15 million and an add-on of €2 million, which will make the total package €17m.

They overtook Lyon’s offer of €15 million, with which his former team reached a deal.

Tyrell Malacia had so much to say after being unveiled via Manchester United’s official website.

Speaking to the Manchester United website, Tyrell Malacia said: “It feels incredible to join Manchester United.

“This is a new chapter for me with new team-mates and a great manager leading us.

“I know from my days playing against his team in the Eredivisie, the qualities he demands of his players.

“Even though I am still young and plan to develop more, I can promise United fans that I will give everything on the pitch.

“I’m also thankful to Feyenoord for everything done for me and my family.

“None of this would be possible without them. Now I’m ready to start my journey with United as we look to achieve success.”

Tyrell Malacia will be joining the rest of the Manchester United team ahead of their preseason, which they will be traveling anytime soon.

The Old Trafford club is also pushing for other possible deals, including one for Frenkie De Jong, which is proving difficult to reach an agreement with Barcelona, who wants more.
