Manchester United Coach Erik Ten Hag has now provided a new update about Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at the club, MySportDab reports.
Erik ten Hag has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be part of the Manchester United squad to face Rayo Vallecano.
The last Friendly match will b played at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The United boss will take charge of his first match at Old Trafford since being appointed as the new manager.
The Dutchman has confirmed that the line-up for used against Atletico Madrid will be different to today’s match.
So, none of the players that started against Atletico will play today.
However, the main interest for fans is the return of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
The striker has not played at all in United’s Pre-season matches so far.
However, on Friday, the Portugal star wrote confirmed his return on Instagram.
He wrote: “Sunday, he plays.”
Ronaldo has not played for Manchester United since the 4-0 loss at Brighton on May 7.
He also missed their pre-season tour due to his desire to leave the club.
Now, Ten Hag has confirmed the strike will play in Sunday’s match.
Speaking after the Atletico loss Oslo, Ten Hag said: “Tomorrow Cristiano will be part of the squad. We are not sure how long he can play.”
