Manchester United Defender Harry Maguire has now reacted after his family home was threatened with a bomb, MySportDab reports.
Maguire has now slammed the idiots who delivered a shocking bomb threat to his family house.
In April, Cheshire Police opened an investigation into the bomb threat.
Speaking for the first time about the threat, Maguire said:
‘Obviously I’m where I will be criticised a lot.
“Based on individual performances I think every player did not perform as expected, except from Cristiano Ronaldo.
‘The club paid a lot of money to sign me and I accept criticism everytime we concede goals or make unnecessary mistakes.
‘But there is a line we should never cross as human beings. I have a family at home. Many people close to me ask how am coping.
‘My mentality is to make sure it doesn’t affect me deeply but when send bomb threats, it’s about my family.
‘My wife Fern, and my kids are at an age where they can’t read things on the news. If my kids were older, they will be poorly treated at school. That is when it gets out of hand.
‘United have some of the best fans as a club in the world and also one of the most hated. We’re under scrutiny every week.’
In 2019, the Red Devils signed Maguire from Leicester City in a shocking £80m deal.
However, he struggled for form last season which lead to serious criticism.
Now, new coach Erik ten Hag wants to improve in central defence ahead of next season.
Ajax plager Jurrien Timber and Villarreal’s Pau Torres have been linked with Manchester United.
