Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a possible deal with the Brazilian and Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, MySportDab reports.

The Gunners are said to be worried of an impending gap in the attack as top striker Alexander Lacazette is said to make a French Ligue 1 return.

The France international is ready to return to Olympique Lyon where he joined the the London based club from.

Lacazette will leave the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer from the beginning of next season with a deal with his former club very close.

MySportDab learns that Arsenal have step up their pursuit for the Brazilian striker as they shop for a replacement for Lacazette.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus has been reportedly out of favour in Manchester City after the confirmation of the arrival of Norwegian and former Borussia Dortmund player, Erling Haaland.

According to Daily Mail, Gabriel Jesus is also wanted by Tottenham and other four clubs, but he may likely joined the Gunners even without playing in the Champions League next season.

The Gunners had finished 5th in the 2021-2021 Premier League table and are joining Manchester United to the Europa League next season.

After finding the back of the net for the Brazilian team in a 5-1 victory over South Korea, Gabriel had reiterated that he want the best for himself, especially his career

Gabriel Jesus joined Manchester City for approximately £28million from Palmeiras in 2017. The 2022 Premier League title was Jesus’ fourth in Manchester City.

He has managed to hit the 8 times and gave nine assists in the 2022 Premier League Campaign and Arteta is confident of bringing the player to the Emirates.
