Liverpool move top of the English Premier League despite 1-1 draw against Tottenham, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The important match of the Saturday fixtures kicked off with both teams starting pretty well going forward.
It was a good one from Liverpool who had one thing in their mind which is to dominate things until they find the opening goal.
Tottenham were also in the same mindset as they know winning the match simply mean their chances of making UEFA Champions League next season is on point.
There were so many opportunities recorded by both teams going forward but none could go as far as making it count which didn’t happen.
So much happened but it wasn’t enough to change the scoreline as it was looking evenly balanced despite how much of a difference in ball possession.
The first half ended with Liverpool being held to a 0-0 draw against Tottenham after 45 minutes between the two of them.
Second Half Report
The two teams were eager to make something happen as they came inside for the second half of hostility at the Anfield Stadium.
It was Tottenham who set to ball rolling in the 56th minute of the encounter after an incredible goal from Son Heung-min to make it 0-1.
Liverpool who was dominating things could hold off their opponent as that mistake lead to them going down despite everything done.
The Reds were able to come back level in the 74th minute which saw Thiago Alcantara delivering the assistance for the goal.
Luis Diaz was once again present as his finished helped his side com back into the tie making things 1-1 as it carried on forward.
Nothing was meant to happen as they approached the final few stages fighting to make something come through.
The match ended with Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham which push the Reds top of the Premier League table until Manchester City play tomorrow.
