Manchester United’s dressing room is now split over the decision of the next permanent club manager, MySportDab reports.

There is a certain group that are concerned about the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the next coach.

Erik Hen Hag is currently the favourite to get the job ahead of other candidates like Mauricio Pochettino.

According to The Manchester Evening News, Some players in the dressing room see Ten Hag as an underwhelming choice to replace Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

Some players at Manchester United still want to see Pochettino get the job.

Their stance is the same despite PSG’s exit in the Champions League round of 16.

Former United players like Gary Neville and Nicky Butt have also shown their supoort to Pochettino as the man for the job.

Despite the desire for Pochettino to get the job, United’s hierarchy are more interested Ten Hag to become the club’s next manager.

Ten Hag has already taken part in an interview with United about a move to Old Trafford and the club also has a good relationship with Ajax.

There are major frustrations right now at Old Trafford, as Rangnick continues to produce poor results.

Fans are disappointed in his decision not to start Marcus Rashford in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City on Saturday.

Rashford was expected to start against Leicester City given Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani were unavailable.

However, Rangnick only played him as a 55th minute substitute, with Bruno Fernandes almost playing the centre forward role.

In a recent interview, Ten Hag described Manchester United as a ‘great club’.

‘Every club knows one another in the industry,’ Ten Hag told Sport1.

‘It’s normal to have discussions with other clubs.

‘Manchester United is no double a great club. But, My full focus now is on Ajax. There are already plans for the new season.’

Ten Hag has won two Eredivisie titles and KNVB Cup doubles at Ajax.
