FT: Liverpool 2-0 Leicester, Diogo Jota Bags BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)
Diogo Jota scored a brace as Liverpool beat Leicester City 2-0 in the English Premier League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter started with both clubs pushing forward to gain control of things which was looking a bit unorganized from them.
Liverpool had a fair amount of dominance against their opponent as they pushed forward through every angle trying to score the opening goal which wasn’t that easy to come as it carried on.
More opportunities were created as the first half progressed with the Leicester City creating some good opportunities which unfortunately couldn’t result in anything happening for them.
Diogo Jota scored in the 34th minute of the encounter to give the Reds a 1-0 lead which was after an amazing teamwork effort that led to the Portuguese giving his side the advantage.
Nothing happen as the first half carried on before ending with Liverpool 1-0 Leicester City which saw them heading inside for the break with all the advantage to the home side after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half wasn’t that bad as both teams did well enough with more opportunities being created amongst themselves going forward in attacking.
Leicester City were poor in getting anything done but managed to make attempts which didn’t cause any problems as their opponent were well organized to sort it out.
More opportunities coming with nothing hitting the back of the net as they approached the final 20 minutes left to be played in the encounter with scoreline 1-0 in favor of Liverpool going forward.
Both team defense continued to make sure they didn’t concede as they pulled off some incredible defending during the game which saw loads of opportunities coming through from them.
Diogo Jota doubled the lead in the 87th minute when a good delivery from Joel Matip saw him finishing off neatly to make the scoreline 2-0 for the Reds.
The match ended with Liverpool 2-0 Leicester City as the Reds claimed all three points which saw them narrow the gap on the Premier League table.
