Hakim Ziyech scored a late goal as Chelsea claimed a 0-1 win against Crystal Palace, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both teams had it good as they kicked off the first half of the encounter which had so much talking points coming out of the entire 45 minutes of football played between them.
Antonio Rudiger could have given Chelsea an early lead in the encounter, but his strike from long range was saved by the home side goalkeeper who was on high alert as it carried on.
Crystal Palace maintained a solid defensive line against their opponent who pressed them so much in every part of the encounter which was looking like a one side affair but no goal was scored.
The opportunities kept on coming in numbers but nothing was done as both teams had so much good work to do at the back which they made sure no mistake happened.
Wilfred Zaha had an opportunity which could have counted for his side, but he couldn’t place the ball perfectly as it went wide off goal.
The first half ended with Crystal Palace 0-0 Chelsea as they both headed inside for the break with nothing happening between both teams after 45 minutes of football.
Second Half Report
The second half started well as both teams continued from where they left searching for the opening goal which didn’t come through as they carry on with no choice.
Crystal Palace started the second half well as they had some early opportunities which was dealt with by the Blues side of London who were very prepared.
Chelsea made it count in the 75th minute through a goal from Hakim Ziyech but it was called back for review as VaR ruled out the finish due to an offside leading to the finish.
The Moroccan scored another one in the 89th minute of the encounter and this time it was counted as the scoreline turned 0-1 for the away side.
The match ended with Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea as the Blues claimed all three points after another hard fought game with it finally paying off.
