Newcastle United have now completed the signing of Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid this January, MySportDab reports.

The Manchester United target have now decided to join another Premier League side after reaching an agreement to become their first signing under new owners.

Kieran Trippier signed a two and a half years contract which will keep him with the club 2025 season which he will have an option to extend.

Trippier arrives at St. James’ Park after spending a successful two-and-a-half-year spell in Spain with Atletico Madrid.

During his time in Spain he culminated in La Liga triumph last season as Atlético pipped rivals Real Madrid to the Spanish title.

Kieran Trippier was once a former Tottenham player which is where he left for Spain, and now he is making a comeback.

This won’t be the first time the defender will be working together with Eddie Howe as they have both teamed up during the player time with Burnley.

Here Is What Kieran Trippier Had To Say:

“I’m delighted to be joining this fantastic club. I really enjoyed my time in Madrid, but when I became aware of interest from Newcastle United, and having worked with Eddie Howe before, I knew this was where I wanted to be.

“I’m aware there is a lot of work ahead of us but I know the demands of Premier League well and I know what an amazing club this is with very talented players.

“I can’t wait to get started and I’m excited to step out at St. James’ Park as a Newcastle player.”

Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe had so much to say about his reunion with the defender which he was so pleased seeing the deal happen.

He Said:

“I am really pleased to welcome Kieran to Newcastle United. I have long admired his abilities and have followed his career, so when the opportunity arose to secure him, we didn’t hesitate.

“A lot of hard work has gone into planning for the January transfer window long before the month began, which is clear in how quickly we have been able to complete this move.

“I would like to thank everyone involved, particularly our owners, and I’m very much looking forward to working with Kieran again on the training pitch.”

Newcastle United are also going after other names as they look to rebuild their team with the backings of their new owner who is ready to throw in the fundings.
