Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli scored as Arsenal beat Newcastle United 2-0 to level on points with fourth-placed West Ham, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half began with both teams going up against each other fighting to gain control which the Gunners were able to take the control of things.

Newcastle United put up a solid defense which saw them holding off the home side from scoring early which could have dealt a huge blow to their chances of keeping the scoreline goalless.

It was looking good for Arsenal who saw more of the ball going forward, but they couldn’t make it count despite all the numerous amount of opportunities created by them going forward.

Aubameyang had a glorious opportunity that could have given his side the lead, but Gabonese International could only manage to miss the chance which could have made it 1-0.

Nothing could separate them as the first half of the encounter ended with Arsenal playing a goalless 0-0 scoreline against Newcastle United who was able to hold them off from scoring.

Second Half Report

The second half kicked off with the Gunners already seeing 80 percent of the ball possession which saw them still unable to make good use of them as it progressed.

It was all pressure on Arsenal who needed the win to see them move fourth on the Premier League table as they continued to do everything possible to make sure they took the lead.

Newcastle United was dealt with a big blow as Bukayo Saka scored in the 56th minute of the second half to make the scoreline 1-0 for the Gunners.

Gabriel Martinelli doubled the lead in the 66th minute making things good for the home side after teaming up with Tomiyasu to make things 2-0 as it carried on.

That goal was the last action as the match ended with Arsenal taking a 2-0 win against Newcastle United which sees them go level on fourth-placed West Ham.
