Transfer: Liverpool To Battle Manchester United For Leed’s Star

Liverpool are now prepared to engage Manchester United in a transfer battle in an attempt to sign Leed’s United star, Kalving Phillips, MySportDab reports.

The 25-year-old profile has risen as he has now attracted a number of top European clubs, owing to impressive performances in the past months for Leeds and England respectively.

Leeds intend on keeping Phillips, who has become an important player since graduating from the academy.

The Club are also aware that he has caught the eye of some of the biggest European clubs and could leave Elland Road if the right amount is tabled.

Liverpool and Manchester United are frontrunners to sign Philips in the Premier League.

But, According to reports Kalvin Phillips may choose Liverpool over Manchester United if Marcelo Bielsa leaves the club.

This is due to the fact that Philips grew up a Leeds fan and has played for the club all his life.

He now fears what the move would mean to his family and his legacy because of the rivalry between Manchester United and Leeds.

The England international would rather join Liverpool if he was to leave Leeds, though that is not a certainty as Leeds are now prepared to extend his contract and keep him beyond 2024.

Nevertheless, it is clear that Kalvin Phillips would definitely bolster Manchester United’s midfield if he were to sign for the Old Trafford outfit.

This would mean another victory for Liverpool over Manchester United after their recent 5-0 humiliation on Sunday.
