Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is concerned that he won’t be able to leave the club in January, MySportDab reports.

Martial struggled to impress last season, scoring only seven goals in 36 matches.

He has played mostly off the bench so far this season for Manchester United.

Now, According to EuroSport, Manchester United have informed Anthony Martial that he can leave the club in the January transfer window.

However, Manchester United’s asking price of £40m may block any possible transfer.

MySportDab understands that Martial still wants to play in the Premier League, but he is more likely to leave England.

He has failed impress Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and is currently behind new signings Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jadon Sancho in the pecking order.

Spanish clubs Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have both been monitoring Anthony Martial’s uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Barcelona remain in a financial crisis and might not have any funds to sign a player until next summer.

There was no serious offer for Martial last summer, and he must now fight for his spot at Old Trafford until January.

Martial also has three years left on his contract, and United are determined to get a good fee for him.

The Frenchman currently earns £250,000-a-week at United, but he will likely have to accept a pay cut to leave the club.

For now, Martial is determined to fight at United, but is not willing to stay at the club if he does not get more minutes this season.

So far, Martial has played five matches, with four of those coming from the bench.

He has also failed to score for Manchester United so far this season.

A few weeks back, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that he had no plans to sell Martial.

‘It won’t be a surprise if other teams tried to sign Anthony because he is a very good player,’ Solskjaer said.

‘I don’t have any plans for him to play against us. Anthony has come back strong and determined to prove his fitness and his quality.

‘Last season was tough for him and you can see that.

‘He is ready to take up the challenge, he is a Manchester United player and we are happy with him.’
