Chelsea might be considering making a move for Matthijs De Ligt if Antonio Rudiger leaves, MySportDab reports.

The Blues are already arranging for possible backup as the German is yet to extend his contract with the club.

Matthijs De Ligt is being drawn up by Chelsea as they want to bring in more players to make sure their team is perfectly good.

The Blues are currently filled with so much talent at the back as Trevoh Chalobah is another name breaking out from the Academy.

Thomas Tuchel does not look satisfied as he is eyeing a possible move for Matthijs De Ligt who could cost them big.

A move looks likely to happen but nothing yet which indicates anything serious as of now despite the interest.

The Blues are not comfortable with their Europe-winning squad and desire development in the defence area.

Chelsea are chasing Juventus centre-back Matthijs De Ligt in confidence of pulling another big-money transfer, according to reports coming from the Mirror.

De Ligt is rated at £103 million ($140m/120) which could be a problem for the Blues who dropped out of Jules Kounde due to his value.

The Dutch defender could be seen as an essential purchase if Antonio Rudiger departs amid a contract renewal dispute sit yet unresolved.

He may also want a move from Juve because of the club’s decline in form this campaign which sees them seating in the other half of the table.

The defender was on target as Juventus claimed a narrow 3-2 victory yesterday which didn’t see much improvement in the team.

No statement coming from either side as the move is not yet labelled to be serious for talks to begin.

Chelsea will be hoping to make their approach when the transfer window opens before we can know how serious they are to sign him.
