Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Fred all scored to give United a comfortable 3-1 win against Burnley in a behind-closed-doors friendly match today.
The match was played at Old Trafford and proved to be a good test for the players.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær wanted to give his squad another match practice after a tough pre season without key players.
Jadon Sancho started the friendly match against Burnley but was unable to score.
Defender Phil Jones played 30-minute of football during the match as a second-half substitute.
New signing Raphael Varane did not play in the match despite training recently.
Anthony Martial scored the first goal after he touched the ball from a header by Harry Maguire.
Jesse Lingard scored United’s second goal of the friendly match as he recovers from Covid.
Fred, a second half substitute, scored the third goal for Manchester United Vs Burnley.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær made some key changes in the final 30 minute and brought on Jones, Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood, amongst others.
Marcus Rashford, Alex Telles, Dean Henderson and David de Gea were the only players not at Old Trafford for the match.
