Man City claimed a 5-0 commanding win against Norwich City at home as new signing Jack Grealish scored his first goal for the club, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A one-sided first half saw Pep Guardiola’s side running riot against the newcomers who couldn’t make any case for themselves as things were out of their control.
It took Man City 7 minutes to get the opening goal as Gabriel Jesus’ strike was deflected into the back of the net by Tim Krul who was recorded as the scorer against his team to make it 1-0 as it progressed.
Ferran Torres scored in the 15th minute of the game but unfortunately, the goal was ruled out by VAR as Norwich City escaped going down by two goals which could have rounded off the match.
New signing, Jack Grealish opened his account as he scored his first goal for the Citizens in the 22nd minute to make the scoreline in the encounter turned 2-0 after he bundled the ball inside the net.
Nothing was recorded as the first half carried on and ended with Man City taking a 2-0 advantage into the break against a Norwich City side that was wasteful in all 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
Some insurgence from the away side in the second half was them doing better in the early stages than they did in the first 45 minutes which wasn’t that good for them.
Norwich City had some good work clearing out every threat thrown at them as the second half carried on with them also trying to make something happen for themselves.
A 64th-minute goal from Aymeric Laporte ensured Man City extended their lead to 3-0 after another good display saw them breaking down the visitors to score another beauty in the encounter.
Nothing could be done by the away side who looked disorganized as Raheem Sterling made it 4-0 in the 71st minutes after teaming up with Gabriel Jesus for the finish.
Riyad Mahrez made it 5-0 after coming on as he scored in the 85th minute with assistance coming from Ruben Dias as the Citizens continued to control the encounter going forward.
The game came to an end with Man City 5-0 Norwich City as they claimed their first win of the season after losing against Tottenham in their opening fixture.
