CAF AFCON 2021 Draw: Nigeria, Egypt In Group D [Full List, Dates]

The CAF AFCON 2021 Draw has now been officially completed and revealed to Africa, MySportDab reports.

The AFCON draw took place in Yaoundé, Cameroon and the CAF president Patrice Motsepe was present at the event.

African Football Legends like Roger Mills, Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba, Asamoah Gyan, El Hadji Diouf, and Rabah Madjer were also at the draw event.

Nigeria have been selected in Group D and must face the likes of Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their AFCON journey against Egypt on January 11 before they play against Sudan on January 15.

Nigeria will play against against Guinea-Bissau on January 19 in their final group match.

AFCON 2021 Hosts Cameroon have been selected in Group A alongside Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape.

The opening match of the 2021 AFCON tournament will Cameroon Vs Burkina Faso.

The top two teams of every group, and best four third-placed teams will reach the round of 16.

The Tournament starts from 9th January to 6th February 2022.

GROUP A: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso.

GROUP B: Guinea, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Senegal.

GROUP C: Gabon, Comoros, Ghana, Morocco.

GROUP D: Sudan, Egypt, Guinea Bissau, Nigeria.

GROUP E: Ivory Coast, Algeria, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea.

GROUP F: Mali, Gambia, Tunisia, Mauritania.
