Real Madrid Defender Raphael Varane has agreed to sign a five year contract until 2026 and join Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

However, Real Madrid know already that the 28-year-old is determined to leave the club this summer.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to do more business in the transfer market after signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund so far.

United have always wanted a central defender to play alongside Harry Maguire in defence since he joined the club.

His current defensive partner Victor Lindelof has struggled to form a good partnership with the £80m player.

Now, According to Goal, Manchester United have agreed a five-year contract with Raphael Varane until 2026.

The French defender will get a pay rise in the new contract and complete his transfer to Manchester United.

United have still not submitted an official bid for the player as of today.

Real Madrid have already lost one defender in form of Sergio Ramos to PSG this summer.

Los Blancos plan to continue their clear-out and Varane could leave next like Ramos.

Real Madrid are still determined to sign PSG star Kylian Mbappe with the funds raised.
