“It Is Difficult” – Lionel Messi’s Father Speaks On Barcelona Exit

Lionel Messi’s father has responded to reports today about his son leaving Barcelona this summer, MySportDab reports. 

Jorge Messi arrived in Barcelona this morning for crunch with the club and he was asked about the Manchester City transfer rumours on his way to the Camp Nou.

Some journalists waited at the airport for him to arrive and ask  Messi’s father and agent about his planned exit.

Lionel Messi has told Barcelona that he wants to leave the club on a free transfer this summer.

There is a disagreement about if the 33-year-old should be allowed to leaving for free.

City have been linked to be interested in bringing Messi back to the Premier League and reunite with Pep Guardiola.

According to reports today, Messi has agreed a five-year deal with Manchester City and will only play for three years in the Premier League.

However, Jorge Messi claimed “there is nothing” when asked about the rumours of a move to Manchester City.

When asked about a meeting with the Manchester City Coach, he added: “I did not discuss with Pep.”

Journalist: Hello, Jorge will Leo leave Barca?

Jorge Messi: I don’t know.

Journalist: How’s the current situation?

Jorge Messi: It is difficult.

Journalist: Not easy to stay?

Jorge Messi: Yes.

Sport Journalist: And Manchester City a possible option?

Jorge: There is nothing, I don’t know.

Journalist: Did you talk with Pep Guardiola?

Jorge: No I did not discuss anything with Pep.

Journalist: You did not talk to Pep?

Jorge Messi: No, nobody.

Lionel Messi has already refused to show up for Barcelona’s Pre-season training.
