Manchester United are now prepared to offer left-back Luke Shaw a new contract this summer, MySportDab reports.
Shaw will now be rewarded for his dramatic turnaround in form over the next few months.
United are not under pressure to reward Shaw with a new contract given he still has two years to on his existing contract, with an option of another year.
But, According to Sky Sports, Shaw could be offered with a new contract in the next few months.
Shaw is now seen as a key part of a project to get Manchester United win the Premier League title again, after eight years without winning it.
Shaw played 47 matches at left back under Solskjaer last season across all competitions providing six assists and scored once.
The 25-year-old has been praised for his performances with England this summer and was a key player in the victory against Ukraine at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Shaw is currently playing at left-back on international duty with the England team.
He produced an excellent display in Saturday’s 4-0 Euro 2020 quarter-final win Ukraine.
But his performances for Gareth Southgate’s side comes after his incredible transformation last season at Manchester United.
Shaw provided the assist for England’s second goal and it was scored by United team-mate Harry Maguire at the start of the second half.
A few minutes later, Shaw delivered a cross for Harry Kane to also score to put England 3-0 up in the quarter-final match.
Shaw is expected to keep his place as Manchester United’s first choice left-back for next season.
