Manuel Locatelli scored a brace and one from Immobile as Italy beat Switzerland 3-0 to maintain their perfect run in the European Championship, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
An amazing first-half encounter in which the Italians provided some solid display of football going forward and at the back without conceding.
Chiellini scored for Italy in the 19th minute but after review by VAR, it was chopped off for an early foul committed before the goal was scored.
Switzerland wasn’t that convincing in the first 45 minutes as they couldn’t make anything happen going forward as the game carried on after they ruled out the goal.
Manuel Locatelli finally scored the opener in the 26th minute after a nice buildup from play saw Berardi setting up the assist which made it 1-0.
The first half ended with Italy 1-0 Switzerland as they both headed for the break with the Azuri’s taking the much-needed lead.
Second Half Report
The second half was just a one-sided affair in which the home team had so much freedom to play and cause all sorts of problems against their opponent.
Switzerland couldn’t get in control as the second 45 minutes carried on with them being pressured more than they were in the first half of the encounter.
Italy made it 2-0 in the 54th minute through Manuel Locatelli who scored his brace from an outstanding finish after receiving an assist from Nicolo Barella.
More coming from the two Nations as they continued to push forward and created more goal scoring opportunities which they failed to convert.
Ciro Immobile added another goal in the 89th minute which wasn’t seen coming as he smashed one past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 with assistance from Rafael Toloi.
The match ended with Italy 3-0 Switzerland as the Italians continue their record breaking run without conceding a goal against any of their opponent.
