Lukaku scored a brace as Belgium thrashed Russia 3-0 in their Euros2020 match which also saw Thomas Meunier score, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter wasn’t that bad as the home side for the game bossed play ensuring they got all they wanted.
Russia couldn’t hold on as Romelu Lukaku scored the opener in the 10th minute after breaking free and beating the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 for his Country.
Belgium continued to control the game as they created more opportunities better than their opponent who were left with more defending to do all through.
Thomas Meunier doubled the lead for the Red Devils in the 34th minute of the game after a great finish ensured the scoreline turned into 2-0 with more chances being created.
The first half ended with Belgium 2-0 Russia as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the home side.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same as the home side continued from where they left off in the first 45 minutes which was very entertaining.
Belgium continued with their dominance against a side who couldn’t pose a threat going forward despite the caliber of players they possess in their attack.
Russia still the second best as the pressure continued to pile of them while they also had to make some few opportunities of their own which was very poor.
Romelu Lukaku increased the scoreline in the 88th minute after teaming up with Thomas Meunier to get his brace and made it 3-0 from a brilliant finish.
The match ended with Belgium 3-0 Russia as the Red Devils claimed all three points in their group opening game which saw them move top of the table.
