Goran Pandev set record for North Macedonia after scoring their first goal in a major tournament after losing 3-1 to Austria side that have David Alaba, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

A good first half encounter saw both sides hitting the back of the net as they did had a wonderful 45 minutes.

Austria North Macedonia

An 18th minutes goal from Stefan Lainer gave Austria the lead from a nice buildup from play which saw Marcel Sabitzer assisting to make the scoreline 1-0.

Goran Pandev pulled back the leveler after reacting fast to a loosed ball to give North Macedonia the equalizer 1-1 in the 28th minutes of the game.

First half progressed with more opportunities being created from both sides but nothing to write home about their finishing.

It ended with Austria 1-1 Macedonia with both teams settling for a draw as they both headed inside for the first half break.

Second Half Report

The second half wasn’t a good one for the away side who couldn’t replicate their performance as they conceded twice.

North Macedonia had it going well in the early stages of the second 45 minutes which they did managed to create a few amount of chances.

Austria took the lead in the 78th minute of the game through an outstanding goal from Gregoritsch who ensured his side take a 2-1 lead going forward.

Marco Arnautovic coming on from the bench to extend the lead to 3-1 in the 90th minute sealed off the win for his side.

It ended with Austria 3-1 North Macedonia as the home team claimed a massive win to open their Euros2020 campaign.
