Wales Coach Ryan Giggs has now been charged for assaulting his ex-girlfriend after a disagreement at his house, MySportDab reports. 

The 47-year-old is accused of causing body harm to PR worker Kate Greville at his property in Greater Manchester, in 2020.

He is also facing another charge of coercive and controlling behaviour between 2017 and 2020.

Giggs is also charged with the assault of a woman in her 20s, which is Ms Greville’s sister during the same incident.

According to Greater Manchester Police, He will now appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on April 28.

After he was arrested, Giggs issued a statement to deny all allegations against him.

An official spokesman from the CPS said: ‘We have now authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge Ryan Giggs for occasioning body harm.’

‘The CPS decided to charge Mr Giggs after they reviewed a file of evidence from the Greater Manchester Police.

‘Criminal proceedings are now on and nothing should be published that could affect his right to a fair trial.’

Greater Manchester Police revealed that Giggs was charged with assault causing bodily harm against a woman in her 30s and another woman in her 20s

Both assaults happened at an incident on November 1 2020 at Giggs’ home in Worsley near Salford.

The older woman was taken to the hospital and suffered some injuries.

Giggs was released on bail before his court appearance next week.

Ryan Giggs had 64 caps for Wales during his football career.

He enjoyed the best of his time at Manchester United, winning various trophies such as the Premier League, Champions Leagues, FA Cup and League Cups.

Giggs is the co-owner of League Two club Salford City.
