Barcelona came from behind to beat 10 man Villarreal 2-1 as Griezmann bags a brace after Chukwueze scored the opener, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was good as both sides showed quality going forward with three goals scored within 45 minutes.
Barcelona had things going their as with them pressing and going close to scoring on many occasions which couldn’t just work out.
Villarreal took the lead in the 26th minute of the game after an outstanding goal from Samuel Chukwueze which made it 1-0 for his side.
Griezmann immediately leveled things 1-1 in the 28th minute as the away side were able to break free and scored the goal which made things tie.
The Frenchman grabbed another goal which made it 2-1 in the 35th minute after reacting to smash it in for his brace in the encounter.
The first half of the game finally ended with Villarreal 1-2 Barcelona as they both headed for the break with Barca taking the much needed lead.
Second Half Report
It was an evenly balanced second half encounter which failed to provide goals as many of opportunities came.
Villarreal was struggling with the attacks being thrown at them by their opponent which along the way Trigueros got shown a red card in the 65th minute.
That sending-off had a lot impact in the game as it gave Barcelona the much needed space to operate and cause so much problems.
No goal was scored as the game entered the last few minutes of regular time which saw the away side pressing very hard to get another goal.
The game finally came to an end with Villarreal 1-2 Barcelona as the away side claimed three points to level things with second placed Real Madrid.
