Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez both scored a brace each as Man City thrashed Southampton 5-2 with Gundogan also on target, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was festivity of goals coming from both sides in the first half of the encounter which four goals was recorded.
Man City took the lead in the 15th minute through Kevin de Bruyne strike to make it 1-0 before James Ward-Prowse pulled his side level 1-1 from the penalty spot in the 25th minute.
Southampton couldn’t hold things down as the Citizens took the lead through a goal from Riyad Mahrez in the 40th minute to make it 2-1.
Ilkay Gundogan scored a late goal as the first half of the encounter ended with Man City 3-1 Southampton as they both headed for the break.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter kicked off with the same energy as Riyad Mahrez scored in the 55th minute to make it 4-1.
Southampton pulled one back in the 56th minute to make it 4-2 with an outstanding goal which the game carried on with more opportunities created.
Kevin De Bruyne wrapped things up as he gave Man City a 5-2 lead after scoring in the 59th minute which both sides couldn’t make anything happen again.
The match ended with Man City 5-2 Southampton as the Citizens claimed three points to increase their lead on the League table.
