BREAKING! Liverpool Goalkeeper Alisson Becker Father Dies Aged 57!

Liverpool Goalkeeper Alisson’s father, Jose Becker, has now died aged 57 after drowning in a lake near his home in Brazil, MySportDab reports. 

Jose Becker was last seen swimming at a dam near his house in the afternoon on Wednesday.

He was later reported missing at around 5pm local time when he did not return home in Brazil.

The Fire Department of Cacapava do Sul in Brazil assisted in the search for Jose Becker.

Jose Becker’s body was found at midnight, and authorities believe that he drowned.

Brazilian football club Internacional, where Alisson started his career as a footballer, sent their condolences to the goalkeeper and his brother, Muriel for their loss.

The club wrote: “It is with sadness that we were informed about the news of Jose Agostinho Becker’s passing, the father of our former players Alisson and Muriel,” the club said.

Alisson joined Internacional at a young age in 2002 where he developed through the youth academy and made his professional debut in 2013.

His brother Muriel, is also a goalkeeper, and was at the club with Alisson during his time there.

Brazilian clubs Fluminese and Sao Paulo also sent their best wishes to their familiy.

Fluminense wrote: “Fluminense Football Club are saddened by the death of Jose Agostinho Becker, father of Muriel and Alisson.”

Sao Paulo wrote: “We wish friends and family members all the strength.

“With regret, We have received the sad news of the passing away of Goalkeeper Jose Agostinho Becker, father of Alisson and Muriel.

“Our condolences are with the family. A lot of strength for them at this point.”

Liverpool fans woke up to the sad news on Thursday morning and expressed their condolences to the club’s goalkeeper.
