Liverpool have officially confirmed the signing of Preston defender Ben Davies who completed his move to the Red for £2 million, MySportDab reports.
The deal was agreed on transfer deadline as Jurgen Klopp was impressed with the 25 year old who is now a Red.
Ben Davies completes a long term deal which will see him play for Liverpool as most of their first team defenders are out.
It was reported that they had plans of signing Arsenal Mustafi but opted to go for the lower league side defender.
There are also rumors of another move which might be announced within 24 hours with Klopp looking to add another defender.
Sokratis almost joined Liverpool before his move to Olympiacos as his former boss was interested in signing him.
Ben Davies will be set to make his first appearance in the next game to come this weekend.
The Reds have been hit with heavy injury crisis which Matip is the recent casualty who is set to miss some couple of games.
