Man United were held to a goalless draw in the second leg of the Europa League against Real Sociedad as they progress with a 4-0 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was pretty much an end to end first half encounter which saw chances created and the away side not converted when they needed to.
Real Sociedad were presented with a chance to take the lead after a penalty was awarded to them in the 13th but Mikel Oyarzabal couldn’t score as he blasts it over.
Man United had some good chances too but just couldn’t make anything out of it as they dominated most of the half as the game processed.
The first half ended with Man United 0-0 Real Sociedad as both sides decided to settle for a draw heading into the break.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter came to life in the early stages as both sides had some good display.
Axel Tuanzebe thought he had to give Man United the lead in the 61st minutes only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR.
The Red Devils’s continued to dominate but failed to make it count as their opponent Real Sociedad who was better at making sure nothing goes past them.
The match ended with Man United 0-0 Real Sociedad as the Red Devils progress to the round of 16 via 4-0 aggregate.
