Manchester United will now play rivals Manchester City in Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday, MySportDab reports. 

Both Manchester clubs have been in great form ahead of the match today.

United are hoping to end City Coach Pep Guardiola’s fantastic record in the Carabao Cup.

Since October 2016, Manchester City are yet to lose a match in the Carabao Cup.

They’ve won the league Cup thrice over the last three seasons, securing wins over the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

But Manchester United were the last team to knock City out of the cup four years ago.

With both teams in fantastic form going into the game, fans can expect an exciting match.

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “We are delighted to be in this semi-final, and this is our chance to finally reach the final.

“Last year we were failed to get past this stage. I think we are now better since then.”

Man City Coach Guardiola said: “I am worried about my players due to the number of games in this period.

“It is tough across all competitions but we take it slowly and will see who can play.”

Manchester United head into the match with enough rest because their last game was on new year day.

Victor Lindelof’s fitness is still a major doubt and he’s missed the last two games due to injury.

Edinson Cavani remains suspended for the game with City.

David de Gea is likely to be dropped, as Dean Henderson has played all the matches in the Carabao Cup this season.

For Manchester City, they have some problems in the squad going.

Gabriel Jesus, Eric Garcia, Ederson, and Kyle Walker will all miss the game due to a positive Covid-19 result.

Aymeric Laporte is slightly injured and he could miss the Manchester Derby.

Sergio Aguero is not yet back to his full fitness.
