Manchester United have now officially announced the signing of youngster Amad Diallo from Atalanta, MySportDab reports.

Diallo is Manchester United’s first signing in the January transfer window so far.

The Ivorian has signed a contract with Manchester United until June 2025, with the option of another year.

In 2020, Atalanta reached an agreement for Diallo’s transfer on the last day of the summer transfer window.

His work permit, and medical have all now been completed, and he is officially a Manchester United player.

At Atalanta, he played twice for the Serie A club first team earlier in the Italian season.

In his first Manchester United interview, Diallo said: “After waiting for so long, it is a dream come true to become a Manchester United player. I am ambitious and i want to achieve in the game.

“When I spoke to the Coach, I was happy because i joined the right club.

“This is an exciting Manchester United squad with great players, I will now work hard every day to learn and develop my game.

“The coaches are fantastic, we have talked before regularly and they have given me so the advice i need.

“I had all the time to prepare for this transfer, physically and mentally, and I have worked hard to be ready to take this next step to this club.”

Diallo’s United shirt number is yet to be announced by Manchester United.

In November, He played as a substitute in the last 10 minutes of the Serie A match against Hellas Verona.

The 18-year-old, who played for Atalanta’s youth team, made five senior appearances for the club.
