Manchester United have now released a statement regarding left-back Alex Telles’ CoronaVirus situation, MySportDab reports.

Telles could feature in the West Brom match this weekend despite reports in Brazil that he has tested positive for COVID-19 again.

Telles has played one match for Manchester United since his £13.6million deadline day transfer from Porto.

In October, The 27-year-old tested positive for coronavirus which made him miss the Premier League, and Champions League matches.

Reports in Brazil claim that Telles has again tested positive on international duty for Brazil.

However, Manchester United have now released a statement on their website: “The club is checking the situation about Alex Telles and will test the defender when he returns to Manchester from international duty this week.”

Reports in Brazil have claimed Telles has tested positive for COVID-19 for a second time in a shocking news.

However, Alex’s positive test does not mean he has contracted the virus again.

Manchester United’s medical staff at the Aon Training Complex are now taking note of the situation in Brazil and will assess the situation Telles returns to England this week.

There is hope that Telles will still be available to play in Saturday’s Premier League game at Old Trafford against West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester United are now without Luke Shaw after a hamstring injury in the win over Everton which rules him out for a month.

So Telles could make his Premier League debut for Manchester United this weekend.

If Telles is not available, Brandon Williams will play his first league match of the season.

Manchester United are 14th in the Premier League table, after seven matches in the season.
