Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp CONFIRMS Trent Alexander-Arnold Injury Update!

Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that defender Trent Alexander-Arnold will not play in England’s upcoming international matches, MySportDab reports. 

Alexander-Arnold won’t be available after suffering an injury in the match against Manchester City.

Alexander-Arnold was taken off in the second-half of Liverpool’s 1-1 exciting draw at the Etihad Stadium.

The right-back was replaced by James Milner after going down injured.

It appeared like a muscle injury as Alexander-Arnold went down holding his leg.

He was immediately taken off the pitch, and Klopp confirmed that he would undergo a scan to understand the full extent of the problem.

Speaking at his post-match Manchester City press conference, Klopp confirmed: “Trent will not play for England.

“What the problem is, we don’t know, but he can’t play for the England national team.

“He is not the last and won’t be the only one who will miss matches during the international break.

“He will undergo a scan and then we will see the problem.”

Speaking after the match, Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola slammed Premier League officials for the tight fixture scheduling.

He expressed sympathy for Alexander-Arnold’s injury, and demanded for more players protection.

Guardiola said: “Trent Alexander-Arnold, now injured.

“Here we believe we are special, we fail to protect the players, so that is why it’s a disaster.”

Jurgen Klopp revealed that he has spoken with Premier League officials to complain about games being played in days.
