Late goal from Vestergaard saw Chelsea slipped on their two goal advantage to draw 3-3 against Southampton as Timo Werner bagged a brace, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter was an entertaining one as the Blues dominated and scored two goals.

It took Timo Werner just 15 minutes of the game to score the first goal after taking on the defence to make it Chelsea 1-0.

Southampton had nothing much to contribute in the encounter as they were unable to make anything happen.

Timo Werner scored with a header to make it 2-0 in the 29th minutes after a good play to increase the lead.

Danny Ings 43rd minute goal saw his side get one back to make it 2-1 as the game progressed.

It ended first half Chelsea 2-1 Southampton as Frank Lampard side headed for the break with the advantage.

Second Half Report

The second 45 minutes was much more exciting which saw a fightback from the away side in the match.

Southampton pulled back level 2-2 in the game as an error from Kepa saw Che Adams converting.

Chelsea replied with a goal to make it 3-2 thanks to a clever play which saw Kai Havertz converting.

Jannik Vestergaard scored late to make it 3-3 after a nice play from former Arsenal man Theo Walcott.

The match ended with Chelsea 3-3 Southampton as both sides shared the points at Stamford Bridge.
