Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard Gets Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell Injury Boost

Chelsea players Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell are now available for Chelsea’s match against Southampton, MySportDab reports.

Coach Frank Lampard was worried about the fitness of the duo ahead of the return to Premier League’s action.

Chelsea are working to build on an impressive display in the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

On his debut, Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell scored and provided an assist for the hosts.

Now he hopes to play again against Southampton this weekend.

Chilwell was forced to withdraw from the England squad due to an injury problem.

But, According to The Athletic, Chilwell and Ziyech are now fully fit.

Ziyech is now set to make his Premier League debut for Chelsea.

The winger has been unavailable due to a knee problem during in the 1-1 draw with Brighton before the season started.

Chelsea and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation reached an agreement which allowed Ziyech return back early to Cobham.

He played some minutes of football on his return from injury in the 3-1 win for Morocco against Senegal.

Now, Chelsea fans, and Frank Lampard hopes Ziyech can bring more from Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

The German pair have endured a tough start at their new club and Werner has only scored one goal since his £47m transfer this summer from RB Leipzig.

At Ajax, Hakim Ziyech provided 82 assists and scored 48 goals in 165 matches for the Dutch club.

Also, Christian Pulisic is close to his return from injury and Chelsea’s attack is getting more hungry.

Chelsea Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will miss the Southampton match after a thigh problem while on international duty with Senegal.

So Kepa Arrizabalaga could return to the Chelsea Starting XI.

The Spaniard was dropped from the XI for the last match after his error in Liverool’s 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
