Liverpool have now announced the signing of forward Diego Jota from Wolves in a £45m deal, MySportDab reports.
Liverpool were only linked with the 23-year-old on Friday but they have now gotten their player very fast.
Jota will become the backup for the front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp was determined to improve his squad depth after failing to sign Timo Werner this summer.
Jota was one of the best Wolves players since they returned to the English Premier League two years ago.
Wolves have now sold Jota for a fee of £45m but only £4m will be paid upfront.
Diego Jota has scored 16 goals in his 67 Premier League Matches and 44 goals totally during his time at Wolves.
The Portuguese forward will wear the No 20 Jersey at Liverpool.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Jota said: “It’s an exciting moment for me and my family. Throughout my journey since I was a child and now i have joined a top club like Liverpool, it is just unbelievable.
“Liverpool are one of the best clubs in the world and currently the best because they are world champions.
“When you watch at the Premier League, you see Liverpool as one of the best clubs in the country, so you can’t say no.”
