Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar Jr has confirmed that he will stay at the club for the next season, MySportDab reports.
The Brazilian was left in tears after PSG were defeated in the Champions League final by Bayern Munich earlier this month.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a return to former club Barcelona before the coronavirus outbreak affected football worldwide.
But Neymar has now ended suggestions that might leave PSG this summer.
In an interview with the club’s official magazine, Neymar said he would love to do better in the Champions League and become a club Legend.
‘I am staying here at PSG for next season! And with the aim to reach the Champions League final and to win it,’ he said.
‘I want to do everything and leave my name in the history books of this club.’
However, According to reports in France, Neymar wants to help former teammate Lionel Messi leave Barcelona and join the French Champions.
Messi sent a message to Barcelona last week informing them of his desire to leave the club.
Also, Neymar just decided to end his £78.6m partnership with Nike after 15 years with the sports brand.
Neymar’s end of partnership with Nike could be bad news for PSG as they are the club’s kit maker.
The French club received an increase in their contract after signing Neymar, they received €70m for his world record transfer from Barcelona.
Nike had sponsored Neymar since he was 13 years old, before he even became a professional.
