On Saturday, United had started talks with Ajax to sign the Netherlands International in a €40m deal.

He is now set to leave Ajax this summer after reaching an agreement with Manchester United on personal terms.

Van De Beek was a key player in the Ajax squad that reached the Champions League semi-finals in 19 before they were knocked out by Tottenham.

Now Van de Beek’s career at Ajax is now drawing close to its end.

Real Madrid tried to sign Van De Beek last summer but a deal never materialised.

According to

Manchester United will now offer €40m for the 23-year-old which is likely to be accepted.

Manchester United appear to have forgotten about Jadon Sancho, who might stay at Borussia Dortmund for another season.

Jack Grealish has been previously mentioned as a target for Manchester United.

Aston Villa want £80m for Grealish and so far there have been no offers for the 24-year-old.
