Barcelona President Josep Bartomeu has revealed the players that won’t be sold this summer, MySportDab reports.

Bartomeu has still refused to resign from his position as President, but he did give a lengthy interview to Barcelona TV.

During the interview, he explained how the Catalan club are planning a massive squad overall.

Meanwhile, New Barcelona Coach Ronald Koeman sees Lionel Messi as a key player for the project, but there are other players that won’t be allowed to leave.

After losing the LaLiga title to fierce rivals Real Madrid and the 8-2 shocking defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, most of the squad are now available for sale.

However, Bartomeu said: ‘Messi is non-transferable and untouchable. He’s aware of this, everyone knows it.

‘But some players like Ter Stegen, Clement Lenglet, Frenkie De Jong, Nelson Semedo, Griezmann, Dembele are not for sale.’

17-year-old youngster Ansu Fati is another player not available for sale and is a key player for Barcelona in a long-term perspective.

‘We received offers for Ansu Fati,’ Bartomeu added.

‘But we don’t want to sell players, although we have several offers for some players.

‘We don’t plan to sell Fati. He’s a key player for the future. I’m telling you now, he’s not for sale.’

Philippe Coutinho is expected to return back to the Nou Camp after his brace against his parent club for Bayern Munich in the quarter-final.

Speaking about Coutinho, Bartomeu said: ‘The decision is upto the head coach. If he wants him to stay, next year he will stay with us.’

‘I have spoken with the new Coach Koeman and the key of our project is Messi,’ he said.

‘He has a contract here until 2021, I speak with Leo and with his father a lot.

‘He is the number one footballer in the world. So, for Koeman’s new project Messi is very key.’

Koeman will takeover a squad with old players and in need of a rebuild and will now replace Quique Setien.

Technical secretary Eric Abidal was also sacked after the Bayern Munich humiliation.
